RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Succulent shrimp tossed in an easy garlic and lemon sauce.  Serve with herb-seasoned rice.

Garlic butter Shrimp

4 TBS butter

1/2 lb. large shrimp

2-3 tsp garlic powder or 2 garlic cubes

Juice of one lemon

Season to taste with OVG BOLD Seasoning

 

Melt butter in a medium pan and add shrimp, lemon juice and garlic.  Season to taste with OVG BOLD seasoning, approx. 1 teaspoon.  If using cooked shrimp, gently heat until mixture is hot.  If using fresh shrimp cook shrimp 3 – 5 minutes, until pink and opaque.  YUM!

 

Am so excited to find this recipe for herb seasoned rice!  Especially good with jasmine rice.

Herb Garlic Rice Seasoning

6 tsp. chicken bouillon granules

1/4 cup dried parsley flakes

2 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. dried thyme

Mix all together.*

Add 1/3 of the above mixture to 2 cups water with 1 cup uncooked rice in a medium saucepan.  Cook for about 20 minutes.  Rest 5 min.  Water will be absorbed and rice will be wonderfully flavorful!

*This seasonings recipe is for 3 cups of uncooked rice.  I divided into thirds and saved for future gourmet dinners.
